A warrant of arrest is issued for Halimmah Thamando Mnyobisi (38), the wife of the deceased, Fezile Mnyobisi, who was found murdered in Botshabelo.
On Friday 15 September 2023, police in Botshabelo received information from the local hospital about a complaint of murder. A patrol vehicle was despatched to the hospital and on arrival a report was given that the 35-year-old male, Fezile Mnyobisi, was brought by his wife in a private vehicle and was declared dead on arrival.
Preliminary investigations started and it was determined that the victim had more than 30 stab wounds on the torso. It was also established that the attack took place near Sechaba-se-Maketse Combined School in H1-Section. The deceased was a teacher at Refihlile Primary School in C-Section. Police initially opened a case of robbery and murder at Botshabelo Police Station for further investigation.
After intensive investigation by Botshabelo detectives working together with the Provincial Investigative Psychology Section, three suspects were arrested after warrants of their arrests were issued. Vusumuzi Daniel Nqele (43), Moeketsi Innocent Manko (35) were arrested on Friday 08 November 2024, for murder and conspiracy to murder.
Further investigations led to the arrest of the brother-in-law to the deceased, Abdool Thamando (35), who was in Johannesburg at the time of his arrest.
The third warrant of arrest is for the wife of the deceased, Halimmah Thamando Mnyobisi (38), who is on the run driving a black Mazda CX-5 with unknown registration numbers.
