A hijacked vehicle was successfully recovered in Paarl.
Fidelity received information about a hijacked Toyota starlet in Paarl. The officer called for backup and they began their search. While busy checking all known places rife with hijackings, the team noticed a stationary vehicle in Chicago at a rubbish dump.
One of the members stood down and monitored the scene while the other member quickly proceeded to Paarl East SAPS to alert the police of the car’s whereabouts. The owner of the vehicle also happened to be at the police station to report the hijacking.
A few minutes later, SAPS arrived on the scene and a tow truck was also called to tow the vehicle away as the hijackers had fled with the key.
