Yesterday morning (13th April), Mi7 National Group received a report from a staff member at a Northern Park school who said there was a case of theft where one suspect stole copper pipes from the property.
CCTV footage of the suspect was obtained and circulated among Mi7 Armed Response teams.
Then, this morning, while on regular patrols in the Pietermaritzburg CBD, vigilant Mi7 Reaction Officers spotted a man matching the description on Greyling Street.
The suspect was intercepted and positively identified as the same man from the CCTV footage. The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
