Police arrested a 43-year-old man for his alleged involvement in the murder of his mother at Zwide Location, Hofmeyer.
On Sunday, 06 April 2025 around 10:00, police were summoned to a complaint of murder at a house in Zwide location, Hofmeyr. At the scene, police found the lifeless body of an elderly woman. She was later identified as Nolungephi Stuurman (73).
A team of detectives started working on the murder case, and followed up on some leads. On Monday, 07 April 2025, police arrested Stuurman’s son for his alleged involvement in her murder. The suspect (43) is due to appear in the Hofmeyer magistrate’s court on Tuesday, 08 April 2025 on a charge of murder.
