A reminder of the high incident areas below, we received confirmation of the following incident this morning as well: ⚠️ Safety Alert: *Attempted Abduction/Robbery on Koeberg Road*
This morning at approximately 05h30, three women were jogging along Koeberg Road near the traffic circle when they were approached by two men who exited a vehicle that had been following them. The assailants threw one woman to the ground and demanded their cellphones. One of the victims managed to escape and ran down Koeberg Road, screaming for help, which prompted the attackers to flee.
The victims suspect the incident may have been an attempted abduction and are understandably traumatized.
Local security companies, including Titanium Security and CDF, have been notified and will be increasing patrols in the area during morning hours.
Safety Recommendations:
▪️ Exercise in larger groups.
▪️ Carry personal safety devices, such as pepper spray.
▪️ Avoid isolated or quiet areas, especially during early morning hours.
