Paarl SAPS in collaboration with Paarl Crime Intelligence and Paarl East SAPS Crime Prevention members joined forces in a bid to disrupt criminal activity in their community through a targeted crime combatting operation on Wednesday, 09 April 2025. The main focus of the operation was on crime generators such as alcohol and firearms.
The integrated team pounced on a various premises situated in crime ridden areas such as Rocky Mafikeng informal settlement, Groenheuwel and Klein Nederburg where members have arrested six suspects between the ages 31 and 47 for an array of offences, including the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, dealing drugs (cocaine, dagga and mandrax) valued at R25,000 which were seized, along with an undisclosed amount of cash, theft of copper and dealing in liquor valued at R2,000.
One of the suspect was found with an imitation firearm.
Some of the suspects will appeared in the Paarl Magistrates’ court today, while others will appear once charged.
