The Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Gauteng, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni led the multidisciplinary integrated #OperationShanela at Jeppe. More than 40 undocumented persons were arrested while 948 #wanted suspects were arrested during the overnight suspect tracing conducted by the detectives throughout the province of which 257 are for crimes committed against women and children.
During the operation, the team also arrested a 42-year-old man who was found in possession of drugs estimated to a street value of approximately R100 000.00 at Bezvalley.
Six liquor outlets were issued with fines and notices to close for dealing without liquor licenses. The operations are continuously aimed at stamping the authority of the State while maximizing
