The swift reaction by Pofadder SAPS D-Relief who followed up on information of a business burglary in progress on 12 March 2025 at approximately 05:30, led to the arrest of a couple and the seizure of suspected stolen electronic equipment during the early hours of Tuesday morning, 12 March 2025.
It is believed that the suspects broke into the local health clinic situated in Blyvoor Uitsig in Pofadder, when the police were summoned to the scene.
Police spotted the Omoda SUV and pursued the suspects on the N14 road in the direction of Aggenys.
The vehicle was eventually stopped and searched approximately 10km outside Pofadder and police discovered the two stolen computers in the boot of the vehicle.
The male (27) and female (34) occupants of the vehicle were arrested and the pearl white Omoda was seized as it was allegedly utilized in the commission of crime.
The estimated value of the stolen items amounts to R50 000-00.
The two suspects were charged with business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property and will appear in the Pofadder Magistrate’s Court soon.
