A trapped Monitor Lizard was captured on a property in Belgate – KZN on Saturday.
A resident of Amethyst Drive contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Centre at approximately 13:24 requesting assistance after they found the reptile trapped in a drain in their yard.
Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival and freed the Monitor Lizard.
It was handed over to the Centre for Rehabilitation Of Wildlife (Crow) for examination and release.
