A 38-year-old man was arrested after he attempted for making multiple fraudulent transactions with his neighbours medical aid card at a Pharmacy in Phoenix – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the business premises after staff confirmed that the male had previously utilised his neighbours medical aid card to purchase medication. He returned today (Thursday) and once again attempted to utilise the account.
Reaction Officers were dispatched to the Pharmacy and on arrival were shown footage and signed receipts of the transactions amounting to R1850. The suspect was confirmed to be working in cahoots with a known drug dealer from Unit 2 in Phoenix – KZN.
The suspect repeatedly threatened two attending Reaction Officers with drive-by shootings with intention to murder them if they placed him under arrest.
