Dedicated members of Boland Public Order Policing and members of Paarl Crime Intelligence obtained and executed a search warrant at a house in Dumisa Street, Mbekweni in Paarl on Thursday 06 March 2025, during an intelligence driven operation.
Upon searching the house the members discovered and seized 8500 Mandrax tablets, 313,14 gram Tik, 16,37 gram cocaine, 1 kg dagga and 1 box loose dagga to the street value of approximately R450 000.
The members arrested a 44-year-old suspect on a charge of dealing in drugs. The suspect will appear on mentioned charge in Paarl Magistrates’ court today, 07 March 2025.
In an unrelated matter, on 06 March 2025 at about 22:30, members of K9 Cape Town in conjunction with Flying Squad members, followed up on information of narcotics at a premises situated in Main Road Wynberg. On their arrival at the premises, an adult male was seen running away from a vehicle when he saw the police. Members gave chase and apprehended the suspect. He was taken back to the vehicle and upon searching the vehicle, drugs and money were found.
The drugs confiscated were 1700 mandrax tablets 500g tik and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be the proceeds of crime. The drugs and cash were handed in as exhibits
A 35-year-old foreign national male was arrested and detained. He will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court once charged.
