A 34 year old man was shot during an attempted robbery in Mhlasini – KZN.
The victim was returning to his residence after leaving a tavern. The occupants of a brown Renault Kwid (registration unknown) approached him and demanded his cellphone.
The male resisted and attempted to fight off his attackers, but was shot twice in the chest and once under his left arm. The suspects thereafter fled empty handed.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducted an extensive search for the suspects, but no arrests were made.
