While on duty, members of the Gauteng Traffic Wardens and SAPS received a tip-off from a community member about four males cutting electricity cables around Block DD, Soshanguve.
Officers responded and managed to apprehend one suspect who was found in possession of the stolen cables, while the other three suspects fled the scene.
The suspect was apprehended for tampering with infrastructure and theft of electrical cables.
