One person as killed and his brother injured during a shooting incident in Amaoti – KZN.
A resident contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre at approximately 03:18 reporting a shooting in progress. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the Inanda SAPS in attendance.
It was established that three armed males gained entry into a home through the roof. It is alleged that the
siblings attempted to fend off the robbers, but were shot.
One person demised on scene and the second injured male was expedited to hospital privately. A tuck shop which is being operated by the injured males relative is attached to the home.
The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
