The search for the body of 13-year-old Armaan Khan who drowned in Hibberdene – KZN on Saturday (1/02/2025) was reported unsuccessful.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) despatched the R44 Helicopter to assist in the search after the family made contact with Reaction Officers at 01:00 this morning seeking assistance.
The Pilot and Crew flew 129 kilometers to the scene at Umzumbe Beach and conducted a low level search ten kilometers south and fourteen kilometers north of the drowning scene.
The three hour search along the coast was unsuccessful.
The Helicopter is currently at the RUSA Helipad for refuelling.
