The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Social Crime Prevention Unit Officers conducted a scholar patrol inspection at Birchleigh Primary school in the Kempton Park area.
The aim was to observe the scholar patrol team on how they conduct the flow of traffic during rainy weather and monitored compliance on learner transportation.
Officers also checked on safety of the scholar patrol and advised learner transportation to keep a good following distance when driving.
