A 29 year old man was repeatedly stabbed after returning home from a night of drinking with his brother.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to a property on Nkululeko Road in Phase 5, Waterloo – KZN at approximately 03:53 after receiving reports of the incident. On arrival, Reaction Officers met with the mother
of the victim.
She explained that both her sons returned to their residence after a night of partying. When she opened the door for them to enter the house, she noticed that approximately seven unknown males pursuing them. The suspects slapped her and attacked one of sons.
During the incident, one of the suspects produced a knife and stabbed the victim three times in the stomach and once in the head. The suspects thereafter fled. The injured male also left the property and could not be located. Reaction Officers conducted a search of the area and found the bleeding male in a pathway. He was expedited privately to a medical facility.
The motive for the attack is unknown.
