While conducting visibility patrols in Krugersdorp, members of the Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (WC) received information from EC Security about a vehicle involved in an accident that fled the scene at high speed.
Officers tracked the vehicle and attempted to stop it in North Krugersdorp, but the driver refused to comply. A high-speed chase ensued, with officers working alongside Public Safety to intercept the suspect.
The driver abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot into an open area of the cemetery.
She was apprehended and charged with reckless and negligent driving, as well as fleeing the scene of an accident that resulted in injuries.
