KZN VIP members have successfully apprehended a suspect involved in an attempted house breaking and theft at a temple in the PalmView area.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening while temple members were preparing for an upcoming prayer. A trustee witnessed the suspect, an African male, entering the property and attempting to break in.
Although the suspect managed to flee initially, KZN VIP officers were provided with a description, leading to a search and subsequent chase, where the suspect was caught.
Interestingly, this suspect is also linked to a previous theft at the same temple, where a peacock was stolen and sold to community members in Zwelisha a few weeks ago.
The suspect has been arrested and detained, with Saps in attendance.
This successful apprehension demonstrates the effectiveness of community vigilance and swift response by security teams like KZN VIP.
