t Fidelity ADT, our team continues to show passion in and out of uniform and this was evident on Monday evening when off-duty Community Operations Managers (COM), Chris Zweni and Vuyolwethu Matoto, who were driving down Cape Road shortly after 6 pm, observed two male suspects climbing out of a vacant business premises roof and immediately jumped into action.
Both COMs immediately chased after the suspects and called our area team for backup. One suspect, who was armed with knives, was chased by the COMs and apprehended at a nearby petrol station while the other one tried to escape through nearby resident’s yards.
While searching for the second suspect, our area team heard a house alarm activate and found the male hiding in the yard. The resident’s security company also arrived on scene and together the officers managed to arrest the second suspect as well.
Quick reaction, determination, and teamwork, fuelled by passion led to both suspects arrested Well done to our officers for their vigilance!
