Earlier this morning the Ensure Security Central Command Centre was alerted to a house breaking incident which had occurred at a business premises in the Florida Road area.
Dedicated Florida Rd UIP team was immediately dispatched and obtained vital information from the business relating to the description of the suspect.
Information was relayed to all tactical intervention units in the area and a positive sighting was made on a male suspect nearby.
The man was apprehended and positively identified by the business management, with the aid of CCTV technology.
He was remanded into the custody of the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
It is believed the suspect is linked to a spate of incidents in the area over the past week.
