On 17 January 2025, an intelligence-driven operation targeting a drug syndicate in Chatsworth led to a successful arrest for possession of Crystal Meth.
During the operation, officers seized:
1. 51.7 grams of Crystal Meth
2. Three small zip-lock packets of Crystal Meth (0.2 grams each)
3. Cash amounting to R240
Total estimated value: R10,420
The operation was conducted in Croftdene, Chatsworth, with the Durban Metro Police Service Drug Team working alongside:
● Counter Narcotics CI KZN
● Ethekwini Infrastructure Task Team
● DPCI Port Shepstone
