While patrolling Kathorus and surrounding areas, members of the Gauteng Traffic Police SLEU and Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (Eastern Corridor) responded to a backup call from Private Security Ekurhuleni Thathazonke regarding a robbery.
The suspects had allegedly robbed a female victim on Phumula Luvuyo Street before fleeing toward the N3 Johannesburg.
Officers initiated a high-speed chase, which led to the arrest of four suspects on the N3.
During the operation, officers seized the getaway vehicle, five stolen cellphones, and dangerous weapons used in the commission of the crime.
