Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Tsakane Precinct officers, arrested a 30-year-old male for Fraud in Tsakane area.
Following on a tip off about an individual producing fraudulent Ekurhuleni Certificate of Acceptability and selling them to shop owners at an amount of two thousand and five hundred rands (R2500).
The officers worked together with the Ekurhuleni Health Inspectors, were they processed to an internet café on Ndabezitha Street. Upon arrival, the owner was found and they proceeded to conduct a search. Officers discovered a bunch of certificates and the owner admitted to have sold a few to some people.
The officers confiscated all the equipment’s contributing to the illicit business, the suspect was arrested and detained at Tsakane Police Station.
