Five men have been shot dead in a shooting incident that occurred in Mfuleni on Sunday afternoon.
Information gathered from the scene indicates that Mfuleni police were called out to the Madikizela informal settlement at approximately 13:30 and upon arrival they found the bodies of five men with gunshot wounds between the ages of 19 and 30 in a shack on the corner of Polisa and Deputy Streets.
The motive for the shooting is the subject of a police investigation currently undertaken by the provincial serious violent crimes investigators. No arrests have been effected yet. Mfuleni police have opened a murder docket for investigation.
