Earlier this afternoon, Mi7 National Group’s Control Room received information from a local group reporting an incident at a municipal office in Northdale. A women was allegedly attacked and robbed of her cellphone.
Control Room operators immediately got to work, dispatching Mi7 Reaction Officers to the scene while obtaining a thorough description of the suspect.
After a search of the area, Mi7 Reaction Officers spotted a man matching the description walking on Lahore Road. An image of the suspect was sent to the woman, who positively identified him as the robber.
He was promptly apprehended. Upon questioning, he admitted to the crime, but said the stolen cellphone had already been handed over to another individual who could not be located.
The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
