Members of the West Rand District Crime Intelligence (CI), acting on a tip-off from a reliable source, conducted an operation in collaboration with the Sedibeng Tracking Team and Gauteng Traffic Police’s Special Law Enforcement Unit (SLEU).
The team proceeded to the identified address in Savanna City, where they located a suspect matching the description provided. Upon verifying the individual’s identity, it was confirmed that the suspect was the person wanted in connection with a fraud case involving First National Bank (FNB).
The suspect allegedly defrauded FNB of an amount of R2.9 million (Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Rand). The suspect was immediately arrested.
