Earlier this morning, while on regular patrols in the Pietermaritzburg CBD, Mi7 Reaction Officers were flagged down by an individual who reported seeing four men allegedly stab and rob a person at Alexandra Park.
According to the eyewitness, the suspects fled towards Braid Street after committing the crime.
Mi7 Reaction Officers immediately got to work, obtaining thorough descriptions of the suspects.
A widespread search was conducted.
Eventually, the suspects were spotted and a chase ensued. All four were apprehended. Upon questioning, they admitted to the crime. The suspects were found in possession of multiple bank cards and other stolen items, which were recovered.
The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
