Earlier today, a business suffered an armed robbery in Tableview. Members were quick to follow up on information and identified the getaway vehicle used.
This was quickly circulated across the technical systems in the directorate, including the camera technology and the in-vehicle dashcam system.
Within minutes, the getaway vehicle was located. Officers attempted to bring the vehicle to a stop, but a high-speed chase ensued. The suspects were eventually surrounded and blocked in on the corners of Mahlatini St and David St, in Gugulethu.
All three suspects were arrested, and the firearm recovered, along with all the stolen property and R80 000 in cash.
