A 45-year-old Josephus Johannes Muller was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning, 10 December 2024, at Nooitgedacht farm near Delareyville.
The suspect was arrested after the Lichtenburg K9 and Mahikeng Flying Squad members operationalised information received from Pudimoe Crime Intelligence regarding a male suspected to be possessing firearms unlawfully.
The members obtained and executed a search and seizure warrant.
During the search conducted, five rifles, two other firearms and 83 round of ammunition were found. Muller appeared in the Delareyville Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 12 December 2024.
He was released on R1000.00 bail until his next court appearance on Thursday, 30 January 2025.
