A 38-year-old man was shot and robbed of his valuables in Amoutana – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately at approximately 10:18. On arrival, Reaction Officers located the male on the road bleeding extensively from a penetrating wound his abdomen. He was surrounded by a members of the community.
A witness informed Reaction Officers that the victim was walking along a foot path. He was approached by a lone gunman who shot him without warning. The suspect attempted to fire a second shot, but his firearm jammed. He robbed the injured male of his cellphone and cash before fleeing in an unknown direction.
Members of the community carried the injured male to the road and contacted RUSA for assistance.
