The body of a man who is believed to have been strangled was discovered in a bush in Zwelisha – KZN.
A passerby contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre after he made the discovery at approximately 07:01. RUSA Members were immediately dispatched.
On arrival, Reaction Officers and Paramedics hiked approximately one kilometre to access the scene where the body of a man was located along a footpath.
A black t-shirt was found wrapped around his neck. He is believed to have been strangled, but this is yet to be confirmed. The deceased also sustained abrasions to his face. His identity has been established.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
