While conducting stop-and-search operations in Atteridgeville members of the SAPS Crime Prevention Unit together with the Wardens stopped a white VW Citi Golf with five male occupants.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in possession of the driver.
The suspect attempted to bribe the officers with R400, which led to his arrest on possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of unlicensed ammunition and attempted bribery.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed the firearm was reported stolen at Wierdabrug Police Station.
