The body of 28-year-old Sandile Mkhize has been recovered in Blackburn – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out and on arrival interviewed four woman who had discovered the body. According to the woman they were using a shortcut to a local church and had made the discovery.
Locals identified the deceased & made contact with his family who resided in Waterloo- KZN. The family arrived on scene and confirmed the identity of the deceased.
When interviewed by Reaction Officers, the family confirmed that the deceased was a habitual criminal and had stolen several bicycles on Saturday night.
Earlier that day Mkhize left his home riding one of the stolen bicycles with intention to recovered other stolen items he had concealed at an unknown location.
Reaction Officers on scene reported that the deceased suffered several visible head and facial wounds.
