The Limpopo South African Police Service held its annual National Prayer Day ceremony on Friday, 27 September 2024, at Higher Grace Church in Vhembe District.
Attendees included Major General Jan Scheepers, Major General Christine Morakaladi, and Major General Eddie van Der Walt, as well as local government representatives and traditional leaders.
The ceremony featured an awakening sermon, prayers for police safety, and a moment of silence for fallen heroes and heroines.
Major General Scheepers emphasized the harsh reality faced by police officers, condemning killings and corruption, and urging unity and integrity in serving communities.
Councillor Sinyosi, representing Vhembe District Municipality, called for community support in fighting crime and praised police efforts.
