An intelligence-driven operation was conducted after members of the Welkom Anti-Gang Unit received information about a male person selling drugs in the Welkom CBD.
The information was operationalised on 24 August 2024 at about 14:50 and the suspect was caught red handed selling drugs to a young woman in Bok Street, Welkom.
The suspect was found in possession of crystal meth satchets, CAT satchets, mandrax and cash. The 43-year-old suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs.
He will appear in the Welkom Magistrate Court today.
