On 2024-07-24, information was received about a drug supplier transporting drugs for distribution. An operation was conducted, and the suspect’s vehicle was spotted and tactically stopped by the Durban Metro Police Service Drug Team in the Chatsworth area. Upon searching the vehicle, the following items were seized:
1. 390 heroin capsules
2. 100 sachets of crystal meth
3. 327 pieces of crack-cocaine
4. 225 tablets of mandrax
5. A silver Ford Everest motor vehicle
6. A 9mm Glock pistol with one magazine and 15 live rounds (licensed)
7. One Huawei cellphone
The total value of the seized items is R453,600. The vehicle will be referred to the Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) for further investigation.
