Five armed suspects fled on foot after they failed to start a vehicle they attempted to hijack in Buffelsdraai – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports that the hijacking was in progress. Reaction Officers and the Verulam Crime Prevention Unit arrived on scene and interviewed the victim. She stated that her silver Toyota Quantum was parked on her driveway when the suspects confronted her.
They robbed her of her Samsung and Honor cellphones before they attempted to flee in her vehicle. The suspects abandoned the mini bus and fled on foot after they failed to start it.
Reaction Officers & SAPS Officials conducted a search for the suspects, but no arrests were made.
