Suspect arrested for stealing goods from a container at Woodlands Mall

A suspect attempted to steal solar panels and pallets from a container at Woodlands Mall.

The suspect was unsuccessful in his attempt when one of the mall guards noted him.

The suspect jumped the fence and started running towards De Villebois Mareuil Drive. Our units responded, and a chase on foot occurred whereby our officers managed to detain the suspect with the help of the mall guards.

The mall CCTV footage confirmed the suspect’s identity.

The suspect was handed over to Garsfontein SAPS.
