Minor injuries were reported in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the north bound lane of the R102 between Ottawa & Verulam – KZN this morning (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 07:28 after receiving multiple calls from passing motorists reporting the incident. Reaction Officers established that a white Toyota Quantum (registration unknown) knocked into a white Suzuki motorcycle and sped off. A white Toyota Tazz and a blue VW Polo collided into each other while attempting to avoid running over the fallen biker & his passenger. The Toyota Tazz spun and ended up facing oncoming traffic.
The biker and his 30-year-old passenger sustained soft tissue injuries and did not require medical intervention.
