A 24-year-old man was stabbed shortly after exiting a bar on Todd Street in Verulam – KZN last night (Wednesday).
The intoxicated male arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ at approximately 22:09 requesting medical assistance. He was treated for a stab wound to his back. The man informed Reaction Officers that he was consuming alcohol with a friend at a bar. As he was exiting, he was allegedly confronted by a Security Officer based at the establishment who objected to him leaving with unconsumed alcohol. An argument ensued when he was stabbed shortly after exiting the premises. The victim’s version of events could not be verified.
