Vigilance by members of SAPS Kempton Park leads to the swift arrest of three suspects following a stop-and-search

Three suspects, aged between 25 and 30, were arrested earlier today, 29 November 2022 by members of SAPS Kempton Park on charges that include possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of a dangerous weapon and presumed stolen property.

A preliminary report suggests that the SAPS members were out conducting crime prevention duties when they identified a vehicle with three occupants who appeared suspicious.

The members conducted a stop-and-search which led to the recovery of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition, a hammer, knife, number plates and an imitation firearm (toy gun).

The three suspects were subsequently arrested and expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrates’ court soon.
