A 17-year-old male was stabbed twice while attending his uncle’s funeral in Cornubia – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 20:57 (Friday) after receiving a call for assistance. On arrival, the teenager was found to have sustained a stab wound to his back & left arm. It was established that the victim was attending his uncle’s funeral when he and his elder cousin proceeded to a tuck shop. Three males then approached them, produced knives and demanded their valuables. A scuffle ensued when the teenager was stabbed.
The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.
