A pedestrian was hospitalised after he was struck by a red Renault Kwid which overturned in Canelands – KZN this morning (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 03:59 and discovered the light motor vehicle lying on its side. A pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The driver of the Renault Kwid was not injured.
He was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and was handed over to the Verulam SAPS.
