Operation O Kae Molao continue to yield positive outcomes

Ekurhuleni District Commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole commended SAPS members and other law enforcement agencies for their crime-fighting efforts. This comes after more than 220 suspects were arrested for various crimes during tracing operation Okay Molao which started on Wednesday, 19 October until Thursday, 20 October 2022.

Major Operations continued in Primrose and Edenpark Policing precincts on Thursday morning under her leadership whereby a total of 86 traffic fines to the value of R32 200-00 were issued to the motorists, five suspects for dealing and possession of drugs, two suspects for possession of dagga, 21 undocumented persons arrested, four illegal Shebeens closed down, a Toyota Hi-Ace impounded (engine tampered with and Second Hand Goods dealers were also fined R3000, 00 for non-compliance

In the Edenpark area, a 45-year-old man was arrested after community members in Palmridge spotted a man at a residence with a firearm visible on his waist. They alerted the police who were busy with the operation, and on arrival, the suspect was arrested, and an unlicensed firearm with six live rounds of ammunition was seized from him.

The District Commissioner further appreciated the public for the information they are providing to the Police which always resulted in commendable success.
