Fast food employee pistol-whipped during robbery in Phoenix

A 25-year-old man was transported to a medical facility after he was injured from being pistol-whipped during a robbery in Phoenix – KZN today (Sunday).

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was alerted to the business robbery.

All available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the fast food franchise.

On arrival, the victims informed Officers that two suspects armed with firearms surprised them as they were in the process of setting up the store.

The robbers attempted to force open the safe door with a screwdriver but were unsuccessful.

One employee was pistol-whipped before the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The injured victim was transported to a medical facility by ambulance.
