A 37-year-old man committed suicide in the presence of his girlfriend at her home in Emona – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting. On arrival, RUSA Members discovered the South African Police & the Provincial Ambulance Service in attendance.
It was established that the male arrived at his girlfriend’s house and pleaded with her to allow him inside. He broke a window and entered the residence after he failed to get her attention. The female confronted him in the living room when she realised that he was in possession of a firearm.
The man then shot himself in the head.
