A 17-year-old Grade 10 student from Waterloo Secondary School in Waterloo- Kwazulu Natal was stabbed by robbery suspects on a railway line in Temple Valley – Verulam at approx 15:20 (Wednesday).
According to the victim, four other students were walking toward a store to purchase airtime when four unknown suspects wearing masks approached them and asked for valuables. The suspects were all armed with Okapi Knives. When they found no valuables they walked away and returned a minute later a stabbed the student walking behind in the group.
Paramedics are currently treating the victim for a stab wound to his back and an injury to his right leg.
