A man in his 40s was left critically injured when he was struck by a taxi on Koeburg Road in Milnerton, Western Cape.
ER24 arrived at 07h20 to find the Milnerton Fire Services already in attendance.
On closer inspection, medics found a man in the middle of the road. The taxi that had struck the man was parked on the side of the road.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury, leaving him in a critical condition.
The man was treated and provided with life support before being transported to Groote Schuur Hospital for urgent care.
The driver of the taxi, fortunately, escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
