KwaZulu-Natal hosts last leg of #SaferFestiveSeason inspection tour as the province ushers in Christmas day

Police Minister, General Bheki Cele and the National commissioner of the SAPS General Khehla Sitole and his management team have touched down in KZN for the last leg of the Safer Festive Season Inspection Tour.

The top police brass have visited several police operations in the Durban area and interacted with shoppers at malls and shopping centres including conducting a walk- about at Umlazi Mega City which was ransacked during the #JulyUnrest the mall management says while it suffered major losses, it has recovered and is now operating at 80% capacity.

While picking up the pieces, the mall management has been given assurance that SAPS in the province remain on high alert and are ready to handle any eventuality. #SaferFestiveSeason.

PC of the province Lt General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has also directed his 20 thousand strong police members that they should enforce the law and have no mercy on law breakers, police visibility will be the order of the day in the province while the SANDF are already stationed at the province main routes and key infrastructure.
